More than a company, it is a vehicle designed to support bigger ambitions. A structure capable of protecting intellectual property, developing creative projects, and helping stories travel further than a single format. Looking back, I realize that many of the experiences, businesses, communities, and creative adventures I’ve been involved in were all pointing in the same direction.

1. The First Seed

Some projects begin long before they have a name.

Looking back, I think the first seed was planted several years ago.

Throughout my career, whether in music, entrepreneurship, consulting, animation, or community building, I kept noticing the same phenomenon. On one side stood talented creatives overflowing with ideas, emotion, and vision. On the other stood business professionals armed with systems, capital, and execution. Both groups needed each other, yet they often struggled to speak the same language.

That observation stayed with me.

At the same time, I found myself becoming increasingly fascinated by intellectual property, world-building, and the way great stories can travel across formats, territories, and generations. A song becomes a soundtrack. A character becomes a franchise. A universe becomes a movement.

Over time, I realized that creating was no longer enough. I wanted to build, structure, and protect the intellectual property and global franchises I was developing. I wanted to step beyond the role of creator and fully embrace the role of creative entrepreneur. Not because creativity had become less important, but because ambition requires a vehicle capable of carrying it further.

That’s where Proplyd comes from.

The name itself is inspired by astrophysics. A proplyd is an embryonic planetary system, a place where matter gathers before becoming something larger. The concept resonates deeply with me because of my fascination with the cosmos, my spirituality, and my belief that great projects often begin as invisible sparks.

Every great story starts somewhere. A conversation, a drawing, a melody, an encounter, an idea. Our role is to help that spark grow and become something meaningful.

2. From Slide Deck to Storyboard

People often imagine major projects begin with a grand announcement.

In reality, they usually begin quietly.

A notebook filled with ideas, a conversation with a trusted friend, a question that refuses to leave your mind, or a vision that keeps coming back no matter how many times you try to ignore it.

For me, the journey wasn’t linear.

EMIT taught me valuable lessons about structure and entrepreneurship. Ready Or Not Records and the Hip Hop Community taught me about culture, storytelling, and bringing people together. My work with JR expanded my understanding of creativity, collaboration, and impact.

Each experience added a piece to the puzzle.

The more I learned, the more obvious it became that my ambitions were growing beyond individual projects. I wasn’t only interested in producing content anymore. I was becoming increasingly interested in developing ecosystems, intellectual property, and creative universes capable of generating long-term value.

MIFA played a particularly important role in that evolution.

It confirmed something I had been feeling for a long time. I belonged in these conversations. Not because I had all the answers, but because I was willing to learn, contribute, and keep moving forward.

Proplyd is not a sudden pivot.

It’s the logical continuation of a journey that started years ago.

3. From notes to “Action!”

Ideas are beautiful.

Execution is everything.

The mission of Proplyd Productions is simple: create, develop, produce, and amplify stories that matter.

Today, our activities focus on four main pillars:

• Scoring and music for picture

• Executive production

• Production

• Cross-media and transmedia exploitation

The objective isn’t to do everything.

The objective is to help creative ideas realize their full potential.

Too many great projects remain trapped in a single format. Yet the most powerful intellectual properties are capable of evolving. They create value across multiple touchpoints while remaining faithful to their original vision.

That is the challenge that fascinates me.

Not simply creating content, but building worlds.

4. The First Projects

2026 is a year of foundations.

A year of experimentation, partnerships, learning, and momentum.

Several projects are already underway across music, audiovisual production, and intellectual property development. Some are public. Others remain confidential for now.

What excites me most isn’t a particular deliverable. It’s the possibility of building something durable.

Over the years, I’ve produced an album, published a book, built communities, launched ventures, and contributed to projects across multiple industries. Today, I find myself moving closer to a dream I’ve carried for a long time: film, animation, world-building, and stories capable of travelling far beyond their point of origin.

I’ve often spoken about entrepreneurship, culture, music, and creativity, but perhaps all of those roads were leading here.

Maybe this is my life’s project.

Events can be a waste of time and money, or they can become one of the most powerful accelerators for your career, your business, your positioning, and the opportunities that come your way.

The difference is not the event itself. The difference is how you approach it.

Over the past few months, between Barcelona with 4YFN in Barcelona, Lille Series Mania, and more recently GITEX Africa in Morocco, something became clearer to me, not new, but clearer than ever before.

Events, when approached with intention and played properly, are one of the strongest growth levers I know.

Not because they are glamorous, not because they are cool, and certainly not because of the badge, the drinks, or the pictures.

But because they allow you to enter new worlds, strengthen your position, build real connections, open doors, and sometimes, without exaggeration, change the trajectory of your projects.

1 – Why events have mattered so much in my journey

If I look back at the last few years, there is one skill that has probably generated more opportunities for me than any automation, any funnel, or any system I could have built.

That skill is sales, not in the cliché sense, but in its most grounded and human form.

The ability to approach people, to create a connection, to listen with attention, to understand what is really being said beyond the words, to follow up properly, and to transform a simple interaction into something that carries potential.

There are many ways to practice that skill, and I have explored quite a few of them, but events remain one of the most powerful environments for that.

Because in just a few days, you can compress what would normally take months, sometimes even years, meet people you would not normally have access to, understand a market faster, sense weak signals that are invisible from the outside, and begin to place your name in conversations where it did not exist before.

I am not saying that every event is valuable, and I am not saying that every attempt leads to a result, but over time, this approach has allowed me to enter industries that matter deeply to me, from music to audiovisual, from tech ecosystems to African business environments, and more broadly to the creative industries that sit at the intersection of culture and business.

More importantly, it allowed me to move from simply being present to being identified.

I remember a conversation during a long run with a retired executive, who used to lead the French division of a major international tech group, and he told me something that stayed with me ever since.

Take the position. Once you are in, everything becomes more fluid.

And this is exactly what I am doing.

2 – What Lille Series Mania and GITEX reminded me

Lille, Series Mania, and more broadly these recent events reminded me of something very simple, something almost obvious, but often misunderstood in practice.

People are not waiting for you to talk to them, but they are very often genuinely happy when you do, as long as you dare to take that step and arrive with the right energy.

The posture matters. In my experience, the right energy is that of someone who is present, solid, curious, interesting, smiling, useful, and very clear on why they are there in the first place. It is a subtle balance, but people feel it immediately.

For my part, I move quite quickly in these environments. I observe the room, I identify the key people, I sense openings, and I go directly toward them, without fear, with natural ease, with a bit of bagou, and above all, with intention.

I am not there to “network,” because a network is not a collection of names, it is an asset, and if you want to maximize its return, you need to take your time when building it, not rush through superficial interactions.

I am there to create real connections, to learn, to open doors, to move my projects forward, and sometimes those of others.

Series Mania also confirmed something deeper to me. I am progressively taking my place in environments where, not so long ago, I was still an outsider.

Slowly, but clearly, I’m taking the position.

3 – Speaking multiple languages changes everything

I will be very clear on this, because the impact is immediate and undeniable.

Speaking multiple languages, or even simply making the effort to meet someone in their own linguistic and cultural space, is a game changer.

A simple hola, an arigato, a guten tag, or a well-placed cultural reference can completely shift the dynamic of an interaction. Not because of linguistic perfection, but because of what it signals.

You are saying, without saying it explicitly, that you see the other person, that you are willing to step toward them, and that you respect their world.

And people feel that instantly.

The exchange becomes more human, the connection forms faster, and the barrier that usually exists disappears much more quickly.

You do not need to speak eight languages fluently, but you do need to make the effort. If you are not comfortable yet, then start seriously. Go Duolingo if needed, watch your favorite movies in French with French subtitles, train your ear, train your voice, and immerse yourself.

This is not generic advice. Do it properly, and give yourself a few months. You will see the difference.

4 – My real event strategy: outbound, contact, follow-up

I believe many people fail to extract value from events because they approach them in the wrong order.

They arrive with light preparation, improvise on the spot, distribute their contact information, hope something will come out of it, and leave tired with the feeling of having “been there,” but without real outcomes.

My approach is structured very differently, and it starts well before the event itself.

Before the event, I run outbound. I identify who will be present, I reach out, I ask for introductions through my network, I secure meetings, and I define clear objectives.

During the event, I go directly to people, without waiting and without hesitation. I focus on understanding dynamics, collecting insights, documents, names, emails, and all forms of useful information.

And most importantly, I take contacts.

This is critical. Do not just give your contact. Take it.

Because in most cases, you will not be their priority after the event. You will not be their BIG THING. So you need to take the lead.

After the event, which is where everything truly happens, I block a full day for follow-up. A real day, fully dedicated, not a few minutes between tasks.

This is where the real difference is made. Not in the handshake, but in what happens after.

The fortune is in the follow-up. Always.

5 – GITEX: why I’m going with a clear intention

GITEX is not just another event. For me, it is a strategic ground that sits at the intersection of several areas that matter deeply to me, including technology, innovation, international bridges, emerging ecosystems, and the evolving relationship between business, culture, and transformation.

I am going there with a clear intention, not just to attend, but to understand movements, meet the right people, build bridges, strengthen my presence, and continue shaping a trajectory that is coherent, ambitious, and aligned with what truly drives me.

This is also part of a shift I am currently operating, a slight but intentional repositioning.

And beyond strategy, there is also something simpler. I enjoy this process. I enjoy going toward people, entering new environments, and feeling that I am gradually expanding my territory.

Everyone has their own battles. Some define position in terms of power or resources. I define it in terms of knowledge, trajectory, and lived experience.

My personal legend does not depend on external context. It moves forward regardless.

6- Key Insights with Love

What most people misunderstand about events is that they are not social environments, they are positioning environments, and if you treat them lightly, they will give you light results.

Taking the position is not about being seen once, it is about showing up repeatedly, with intention, with clarity, and with a narrative that becomes stronger each time you step into the room.

Over time, people stop asking who you are, and start remembering where they have seen you, what you stand for, and why your name keeps appearing in the right conversations.

This is where reputation compounds.

7- Hey, Try This

1/ Before your next event, take one hour and define precisely what you want from it, not vaguely, but in concrete terms, including who you want to meet, what conversations you want to have, and what doors you want to open.

2/ Then identify at least ten people who will be there, reach out in advance, and secure a few meetings before even arriving. Also reach out to 3 persons of your existing network to ask for key intros at the targeted event.

3/ During the event, focus on taking contacts rather than giving yours, and after the event, block a full day for structured follow-up with thoughtful, tailored messages to key people, and structure automated outbound follow-ups for other relevant contacts.

Do this once, properly, and you will understand the real leverage of events.

The “Express High-Protein Wrap”

Because sometimes, the best event strategy is also avoiding spending 20€ on bad food on your way there or on your way back.

1. Prepare two whole wheat wraps, and yes, whole wheat matters.

2. Add your sauce depending on your mood, whether it is mayo, tomato, crème fraîche, harissa, or something a bit more aggressive like an Algerian sauce.

3. Cook four eggs, or replace them with chicken, tuna, or seitan depending on your preferences and what you have available.

4. For the fresh side, add what makes sense to you, olives, chickpeas, red beans, fresh parsley, red onion, or a soft cheese like Saint Môret.

5. Finish with grated cheese, emmental or mozzarella works perfectly.

6. Roll everything tightly in aluminum foil, and enjoy it as is, or with homemade sweet potato fries.

1) Why This Theme and My Own Doubt

It started with a message that, on the surface, should have simply felt good: “Your newsletter is the only one I actually read.” I received it several times, from different people, and instead of immediately embracing the compliment, my reflex was doubt. I doubted the sincerity, wondering whether they were exaggerating, I doubted my writing, questioning whether it was truly at that level, and I even doubted my authenticity, asking myself whether I was writing because I genuinely meant what I said or because I wanted to appear a certain way.

I questioned whether I deserved your attention at all, what I truly bring to the table, and why you choose to read me.

This doubt is not comfortable, but it is healthy, because it forced me back to fundamentals: am I writing truth, am I writing something useful, am I aligned when I address you directly and not an abstract audience.

Doubt compelled me to separate noise from necessity, to clarify my intention, and to assume my internal answer with greater rigor.

2) Professional Doubt, Real Quality or Disguised Fear

In creative entrepreneurship, doubt is constant and multifaceted, appearing as doubt about one’s level, often associated with what is commonly called impostor syndrome, doubt about the quality of one’s deliverables when wondering whether what is being produced is genuinely professional or merely acceptable, and relational doubt when questioning whether a partner, manager, or consultant can truly be trusted and whether the promised value is concretely present.

What I observe in my clients and in myself is that we often confuse useful doubt with disguised fear.

Useful doubt asks precise, measurable, concrete questions: what evidence do we have, what information is missing, what short test can we run this week to obtain an objective answer. Disguised fear, on the other hand, tells broader stories: we are not ready, this is not the right time, let us wait and see.

The distinction is crucial. The right move is to operate doubt as one would operate a machine, by qualifying it, measuring it, testing it, and then deciding, because clarity always prevails over narrative.

3) If There Is Doubt, There Is No Doubt. Really?

That sentence has saved me before, particularly in previous ventures where I ignored a subtle internal signal, which later translated into losses of money, time, energy, and at times self respect. I should have stopped earlier.

However, reality is rarely binary, because sometimes doubt simply reflects fear of daring, while other times it signals that something is objectively wrong.

The relevant question is therefore not whether one should doubt or not, but rather what exactly is being doubted, what information is missing to illuminate the situation, and what short experiment, perhaps over seven days, could provide factual clarity. From that moment on, doubt ceases to be fog and becomes a compass.

4) Intimate Doubt, Identity, Love, Trajectory

Doubt does not remain confined to business, it infiltrates the intimate sphere, affecting family, love, and identity. One may wonder whether children are truly fine when they simply say they are, whether a yes genuinely means yes from the person one loves, or whether the place one lives, the people one surrounds oneself with, and the rhythm one follows are genuinely aligned with one’s inner self.

I have long doubted my Africanness, my French part of me, and my Afropean identity, oscillating between here and there, between multiple belongings that at times seemed contradictory.

It was by accepting that doubt that I stabilized my internal answer and understood that I am fully the whole, without needing to choose one part at the expense of another.

Doubt functions as an alert system that invites deeper observation, yet it is up to us to add a conscious decision.

5) What I Propose Now

What defines Printz is not success itself, but coherence. Artist, songwriter, producer, multi-instrumentalist, entrepreneur, and creative architect, he has moved across disciplines while maintaining a clear internal compass. His work consistently circles back to the same intention, using music as a way to connect people through honest expression and shared experience.

In his hands, music remains a tool for gathering rather than separating.

2) Why funk still matters now

Funk has never been just a genre. It is a social language designed to bring bodies together, synchronize movement, and create a shared emotional field. Long before algorithms and feeds, funk built community through rhythm, repetition, complexity, and release.

In a world increasingly fragmented by screens and speed, this function has become more relevant, not less. Music that reconnects people to their bodies and to one another plays a role that no digital layer can replace. Funk reminds us that collective experience is not a luxury, but a necessity.

This is the context in which Printz’s work takes on its full dimension.

3) Butter Funk Family and the power of collective energy

With Butter Funk Family, Printz chose to build something that behaves less like a traditional band and more like a living organism. This project does not aim to revive funk as a historical reference, but to activate it as a present and future force.

Butter Funk Family channels the raw energy of classic funk while speaking directly to a generation hungry for connection. Horns cut through the air, guitars weave restlessly, rhythms demand movement, and vocals come from the gut rather than the surface. The music does not sit politely in the background. It invites the body to participate.

Structurally, the project is as intentional as its sound. A rotating collective of more than thirty musicians from around the world, anchored by a strong core, allows the project to evolve without losing identity. From Los Angeles to New York, from Europe to Africa, from Iceland to Brazil, the group has grown through live performance, residencies, and word of mouth rather than shortcuts.

A long-standing residency in Hollywood became a true laboratory where music was tested in real conditions, shaped by audiences, extended through improvisation, and refined through repetition. Releases such as Downtown and the independent FACTS EP emerged from this lived process, carrying the imprint of jam sessions, soundchecks, and collective intuition.

1) My personal shift → professional boost

This year, I spent a lot of energy cleaning, which turned out to be the most productive decision I could have made. I cut out auto-pilot habits that had slowly crept back in: easy dopamine, nicotine, reflex alcohol, late-night screens that blur both sleep and intention.

At the same time, I brought sport back to the center of my life through running, climbing, sweating, and feeling my body work again, while protecting sleep and practicing a more conscious relationship to a lot of things and habits. What changed most was not the effort itself, but the trade I made: agitation for rituals.

And when you keep your rituals, you keep yourself. That’s self-discipline as self-respect. The result has been very concrete: a clearer mind, sharper decisions, and a calm joy that no longer depends on daily metrics or external validation.

2) Annecy, transmedia IP & Proplyd: playing for real

My second MIFA in Annecy was a real turning point. Last year, I was observing, learning the codes, reading the room; this year, I was fully playing. I pitched my transmedia IP calmly and clearly, but more importantly, I listened.

I focused on being in the right rooms, with the right people, and following up properly, which quickly led to serious leads. At the same time, I stopped negotiating with myself and officially launched PROPLYD PRODUCTIONS, focusing on music licensing, sync, and IP development.

By the end of this summer, I had also finished the first version of the script for my first feature. Cinema is calling, and I’m answering, not with grand promises, but with steady work, density, and concrete deliverables.

3) Doubling (again) and structuring: consulting that transforms me

For the second year in a row, revenue doubled, not because of hustle or acceleration, but because of better choices, better framing, and the compounding effect of structure. The real game changer has been my advisory work.

Supporting demanding clients gives you a privileged, real-time view of what actually works, what blocks growth, what scales, and what quietly breaks organizations from the inside. I analyze, propose, implement, and then systematically apply those same frameworks to myself.

I now operate with a group, across multiple entities, with a clear organization, defined roles, and processes that hold under pressure.

Consulting isn’t just a job for me; it’s a mirror, and mirrors have a way of forcing you to raise your standards whether you like it or not.

4) Ghana & Identity: West-African, Afropean, aligned

This year, I cut my dreadlocks, a simple gesture on the surface, but one loaded with meaning. I’m no longer seeking my Africanity; I live it, fully West-African and fully Afropean, without contradiction.

My trip to Ghana grounded me deeply through family, music, red roads, and evening laughter, and it reminded me of a different rhythm of life, one that teaches you to say yes calmly and no faster.

That rhythm has found its way into my projects as well, bringing more alignment and a stronger, quieter drive.

5) My 2026 protocol (ultra-simple)

Nothing complex, nothing heroic. In the morning, I move for 15 to 90 minutes, whether that’s a short run, or stretching or muscle training, then I write one daily intention, one deliverable, and I keep my phone on airplane mode until that deliverable is actually started.

I recommend you to take ten minutes in the evening for a micro-journal, three lines only, focused on gratitude, what was done, and what can improve, followed by three priorities for the next day.

I tested this over a seven-day window, and if it worked, I repeated it. The magic, as always, is in repetition.

Comfort and power combined.

Easy to prepare, grounding, and perfect when you want something warm, generous, and satisfying.

Steps:

• Cook 2 large sweet potatoes, either in water or steam. Once soft, mash them carefully and let the excess moisture evaporate. The drier the mash, the better the gnocchi.

• Add flour gradually, little by little, with salt and pepper, until you get a soft dough that no longer sticks to your fingers. Don’t overwork it.

• Roll the dough into long ropes on a floured surface, then cut into small gnocchi. Gently mark them with a fork if you feel like it.

• Bring a large pot of salted water to a gentle simmer and poach the gnocchi. They’re ready as soon as they float to the surface.

• In a pan, heat olive oil with finely sliced shallots, garlic, thyme, and herbes de Provence. Let everything sweat gently without coloring.

• Add the drained gnocchi to the pan, toss softly, and adjust seasoning.

Yaya Minté grew up in Pikine, Senegal.
At 8 years old, he arrived in France, and the shock was brutal.
Direct. Violent.

After a severe PTSD episode, he even forgot his native language. But life shapes certain people differently, and Yaya Minté is one of those who turn adversity into something sharp, precise, unbreakable.

Talented in almost everything he touched, he eventually chose music as his path for personal growth. As a refuge, a motor, a voice.

He got signed several times, but always too early or always as part of a group.
In music, like in business, timing is a ruthless law. And nothing exploded under those conditions.

So he did what only the real ones do:
He gave the contracts back, and he sang for the pure love of music.

In the street. In Montmartre. Hand to hand, voice to voice. Nearly 100,000 CDs sold over a few years.
No platinum record, but enough to live, to refine his craft, to touch hearts one by one.

1 – The Return

The second I landed, Ghana reminded me that life has a sense of humor. My luggage went missing, the power cut out, the A/C and water stopped working, yet I was treated like royalty. Someone carried my bags, cleaned my clothes, and served me food. Luxury surrounded by dust.

I felt home and foreign at the same time. My French side wanted order, my Ghanaian side was smiling. I realized how privileged I am to have both, and how complicated it is to fit perfectly anywhere.

After a long nap, I found myself at an uncle’s funeral, one of the most important cultural events in Ghanaian life. I met relatives I had never seen before and stood mostly as an observer, lost between curiosity and respect. I do not understand Twi, but I promised myself I would learn.

That night, we talked about God and education over jollof rice. These conversations are the ones that make me grow. I fell asleep grateful, convinced that I am still walking the path of my personal legend.

2 – Learning to Belong

At 4 a.m., a rooster screamed in my ear. I laughed. This is Africa, I thought. Nature wakes you before your alarm does.

Later that morning, I attended a Sunday church service. I have been to many churches, but this one touched me differently. There was energy in the air, like an invisible vibration. Then the committee of the church gathered. People spoke with such intelligence and peace. They debated, shared, disagreed, but always with respect and purpose. It was not noise, it was harmony.

I saw how much wisdom lives here, often unnoticed by those outside. My people are brilliant. They find solutions with empathy, they talk before they fight, and they build community like it is second nature.

The day ended with fufu eaten by hand, mixed with beef, snails, fish, and liver. It was messy, beautiful, and humbling. I thought to myself: I want to be more like my Ghanaian family in the way they honor food, faith, and family.

3 – Building Bridges Between Continents

Accra is a mixture of opportunity and madness. Traffic jams, meetings, phone calls and street sellers everywhere.

But between the chaos, something powerful happened. I began to see how I could bring value here. I had four key meetings that opened doors I never imagined. Each conversation was a step toward building something long term between Africa and Europe.

Then came one of my proudest days. I was invited to give a workshop for one of Bola Ray’s new ventures. It went incredibly well. There were interviews, handshakes, pictures, and genuine excitement. I was officially introduced as a board member of the BR Institute in Ghana.

Bola Ray, the CEO of EIB Network, leads one of the largest media groups in Ghana. Working alongside him and his team showed me how much creativity and business can merge when people believe in shared growth. I was also nominated as a committee member of CBN Africa, a new chapter I am proud to begin.

That same week, I connected with leaders from Animax FYB, Ghana’s leading animation studio, and other brilliant entrepreneurs, including a top soccer agent and a woman entrepreneur whose influence reaches far beyond the country. Ghana’s creative class is rising fast, with ambition that feels unstoppable.

Also, I have been interviewed on a notional TV channel.

Afterward, I explored Tudu, one of the busiest market areas I have ever seen. My cousin’s wife has run a small shop there for twenty years. It reminded me that the simplest businesses can carry entire families and that success here looks different, more grounded, more communal.

Ghana felt like a living bridge between continents. Every conversation deepened the connection between my European experience and my African identity. The more I learned from these entrepreneurs, the clearer it became that creativity and collaboration are universal languages.

I could even celebrate my father’s 70th birthday in Ghana. Incredible live music, great food, and an even greater sense of family. That night, I felt proud to be a Yankson.

4 – Legacy, Lineage, and Healing

On day eight, I set off to Senya. The roads were rough, and I was still recovering from a bad stomach, but I knew this was the moment I had been waiting for.

When I arrived, I stood in front of my grandfather’s house. A large sign read “Yankson & Co. House, Legal Practitioners, Grace Law Chambers.” The building was majestic, built in 1952, before Ghana’s independence.

Inside, I could almost feel his presence. My grandfather was a man people came to for advice and news. He read the newspapers and explained them to the villagers. His voice carried wisdom, and now, standing there, I realized I carry part of that legacy too.

Later, I met many of my father’s relatives and friends, learning stories I had never heard before. I visited the village, saw fishermen repair their boats, and met local chiefs who still hold cultural authority. The hierarchy, the respect, the rhythm of life, it was all fascinating.

Then came a day that changed everything: meeting my sister. We connected instantly. She is strong, natural, radiant. She made my trip feel complete. Sitting by the beach with her and my father after sunset, talking about life and our story, will stay with me forever.

In the same few days, I met my brother. Our connection was different. He carries his story in his own way, and meeting him helped me see my family from a wider perspective. Those moments taught me compassion and understanding.

That meeting also shifted something in me. I began to see my father as a man, not an idea. Imperfect, but trying. That realization helped me let go of expectations and meet him where he is.

Some of my most meaningful conversations in Ghana happened over simple plates of jollof rice, about faith, family, and how love always finds its way back home.

This journey helped me fill old emotional gaps and redefine what it means to be a man. Like my grandfather, I want to be strong, kind, and stable. Not perfect, but intentional.

Fifteen days, hundreds of kilometers, and more than a few moments of sickness later, I returned home a changed man.

Here is what I brought back with me:

This trip was not easy. I got lost in traffic, got sick, got homesick. But every challenge brought me closer to myself. I came back with new energy, deeper roots, and a stronger purpose.

I love sharing. That’s why this letter, and the next ones, include various recommendations (books, films, recipes, etc.).

1 - From outsider to one to watch

How do you get recognized in a new sector or market? That’s the question so many pros and creatives ask every day.

I think there are as many answers as there are people. The solution is plural—rich and complex. For now, here’s my recipe:

• Be natural

• Be confident, powerful, radiant

• Show up at strategic events

• Spot the trend-makers and actually talk to them

• Return to the same events several times in a row

• Prepare: goals, process, schedule, meetings, KPIs

• Learn from the best

• Have a mastered pitch in multiple versions:

  • long & story-driven

  • general B2B pitch

  • elevator pitch

• Nurture existing relationships while constantly creating new ones

• Stay open to serendipity

• Have fun in the discovery process

As for me, I left home determined—backed by my 3-year-old son, apprentice photographer, author of the shot below, captured via a firm phone grip… plus a few words of encouragement.

At the market, I immediately linked up with friends I’d planned to spend time with. I even shared it with my network. S/O Moutie Loukil, Elia Bouthors, Francis Brown. Thanks to them, I expanded my circle.

Because I did the work upfront, I was able to meet key decision-makers—some I already knew, some new faces. That pushed me forward. Toward my dream. Toward this wild project: a universe that lives as a film, video game, book, and more. In the lingo, that’s a transmedia IP.

It’s a term I learned, and it earned me the focused attention of many people.

I don’t know if I’m “one to watch.” But I do know I’m on the radar, and the project is moving fast.

2 - Why this time was different

This second round had a special flavor.
A scent that sticks.

Unlike last year—my big first—I knew the terrain. I didn’t walk in like a conqueror, but I didn’t question my legitimacy either. Fact is: I’m a professional in animation.

I already knew the game.

I leveraged creativity and other personal skills to optimize my presence.

This time, the plan was clear—I would push:

• My transmedia IP

• The partners/buddies mentioned above

• My activity as a music licensor

And that’s exactly what I did.

I also didn’t limit myself to Africa or France this year; I explored new territories—especially Asia, which inspires and intrigues me.

On the music side, as a rookie in this space, a mix of brand-new fan and ambitious student, I was selected for the SACEM Music Lab program.

I even accelerated a project I’d left on stand-by for way too long.

I finally went 100% into music for picture, like I’d planned before the rough patch I talked about in my letter on depression and pivot.

3 - The energy on the way back

Finished my bible nodding to the beat, in the RER.

Leaving Annecy, I was inspired, excited, and fired up like never before. Minutes after boarding the train, I started writing. I wrote for five hours straight, missed my connection when I hit the Paris area.

I quickly followed up with everyone I met. Some conversations already turned into promising collaborations.

I feel more legitimate, more rooted, and more ready to keep growing in animation and transmedia IP development.

Still, the high fades fast. Some of the hottest topics didn’t survive the post-event slowdown. How do you keep momentum high? For me, landing 1-to-1 follow-ups within four weeks is key.

4 - Key takeaways

Ride your energy. Protect it. Surf the moment. Follow the rhythm.

If something boosts you, tap that bubbling inner force to create and build, don’t wait.

Care about others.

• During my experience, I barely talked about myself. Yes, I pitched my project; but mostly, I listened, asked questions, observed, learned.

Dare.

• Dare to talk to the most influential. Thanks to my gift of the gab, I connected with C-levels who are hugely influential in animation. That opened real opportunities.

• Push for access. I also tried to get into special, selective, great-for-business events. This year, I made it into two of the three I was aiming for. Turned away once? Compared to all the times in my youth, no big deal. But I created strong connections that have already opened doors.

Talk to beginners.

• Take the time to speak with rookies and students. Passing it on reminds you what you truly know. Their perspective is fresh, their passion contagious. And tomorrow, they’ll be the pros in the room.

Persevere & pray.

• Showing up to the same events several years in a row confirms your posture and positioning—and creates more tangible opportunities. Repetition is how you force serendipity. Believe, pray… and the best will come.

1 – Healthy Body, Healthy Mind

As a huge fan of anime, manga, and martial arts, I’ve seen all the heroes of my youth—and the newer ones too—practice meditation and grow stronger through it. One day, a friend lent me The Art of Meditation by Matthieu Ricard, an excellent introduction to the practice. I got hooked, tried it, loved it, and felt the benefits. Since then, I’ve been meditating every day—or almost.

Meditation changed my life.
No, it’s not hard. You just have to give it a shot.
No, meditating doesn’t mean not thinking.

Meditating for 10, 20, 30, or even 50 minutes is great and helpful.
Meditating for just 3 minutes? Also great. Also helpful.

Meditating alone works really well. Silence and breath are enough.
Solo or guided meditation? Visualization or self-reflection?
What rhythm, what length? It’s up to you to test and adjust.

As for sports, I invite you to find a physical practice you enjoy—something that makes you sweat, frees your mind, or helps you reconnect with yourself.
For me, that’s running, dancing, climbing, lifting weights, and yoga.

Eating healthy is foundational.
I believe that eating well and sleeping well are the two pillars of a healthy life.
When I eat poorly and sleep little, the result is crystal clear: my body and my hormones take a hit. I feel irritable, stressed, anxious, tired—and sometimes a bit down.

Fast food, alcohol, and sugary treats make you addicted and create withdrawal and a low mood when you don’t consume them. Keep them as far from your life as possible.

2 – Joy Triggers & The Five Doors

Have you heard of The 5 Doors by Fabrice Midal?

In short, he explains that depending on your personality and energy, you have your own preferred areas of well-being—grouped into five main categories.

Give yourself permission for small pleasures.
Yes, you need a bit of discipline, but you can also let go and enjoy yourself.
Be careful, though: pleasure doesn’t mean spending impulsively and feeding the consumerist machine.

Here are the simple pleasures I allow myself, which might also change everything for you:
gardening, taking baths, rewatching comfort movies, listening to your favorite songs on repeat, staring at the same artwork over and over again—and especially, playing.
As adults, we often feel ashamed to play, even though it’s healing.
Me? I play on my Nintendo Switch.

Reading, too, switching between fiction and non-fiction, is a real source of well-being.

3 – The Cheat Codes

• Sleep: 8 hours a day, or take 20-minute power naps several times a week.

• Write: your thoughts, your ideas—journaling helps.

• Create: whether it’s writing, music, art, video, or cooking.

• Do small, meaningful acts that bring real joy: help someone carry their suitcase or find their way instead of looking away.

• Spend time with people you love.

• Talk to yourself out loud.

• See a therapist as often as needed.

• Go to an osteopath or physiotherapist when necessary.

• Get regular massages.

• Take time to enjoy nature.

• Invest in yourself.

• Be curious and learn as much as possible.

• Work with joy.

4 – The Don’ts

Of course, if there are good practices, there are also things to avoid:

• Wanting to ALWAYS feel good. Accept down times and moments of doing nothing.

• Smoking. Even CBD ; it’s not ideal.

• Drinking alcohol. Sure, it’s culturally accepted, but it’s still a drug that alters your brain and behavior. Best to avoid.

• Spending too much time mindlessly scrolling on your phone.

5 – The Choice

Life is unfair, sadly. #Basic
Life is hard. #Simple

We all have wounds and problems—some deeper or more painful than others.
In that sense, we’re not all equal when it comes to pain, nor in how we respond to it.

So, you have two choices:

• Either you get used to the pain and dwell in it,

• Or you accept it while learning to let it go.

It’s simply a choice.
It may sound simple and obvious, but it’s probably one of the hardest choices I’ve had to make.
Only by detaching from pain can you open yourself to life and its opportunities with open arms.

Well-being is a matter of neuropsychology, chemistry, anatomy—but most of all, mindset and behavior.

So, what do you choose?

6 – What to Remember

Try lots of things.
Find what works for you.
Be disciplined and consistent.
Accept the blues—they’re part of life.

And remember: you’re human, not a machine!

1 - Origins

The values of Hip-Hop captivated me as much as its aesthetic form and the pleasure of creating.

Then I dropped my career as a dancer, because this discipline, although sublime, was too focused on the ego, especially in the very closed circle of battles. I wanted to federate, gather and share a message with the greatest number around values that seemed right, noble and essential.

That’s how Ready Or Not and Hip-Hop Community were born. Business and money related topics came after.

2 -  The relationship to money

I like money. It’s important to me. I wish it wasn’t, but it is.

I want to live with the luxury of knowing material security. I want to offer experiences. I want to offer to my loved ones. I want to travel. I want to get out of the obligation to work in order to survive. I want to live free and happy.

Money allows me all this. So I can’t not like it.

Several months ago, I wondered about my relationship to money. Why does it block? Why does it make me anxious? Why haven’t I made my money yet?

I took matters into my own hands and started working on them with my therapist, in my personal reflections and through research and exercises. I particularly appreciated what Nathalie Cariou shares.

After three years of studies in management/ finance and as a serial entrepreneur, I never thought I would receive advice on the relationship to money and its management from Madame Tout-le-Monde.

Why not a billionaire super star to identify with? Well, I don’t know about that. It is still that, like Vox and her approach to financial education by women, for women, I was able to advance thanks to the intelligence and kindness of a woman, like a mother who guides her child and wishes him the best.

3 - Financial education

Why doesn’t anyone teach us that? It’s one of the most important things. If we are taught that money is the cement of our society, wouldn’t it be essential to teach everyone how to manage it?

How to find out between short-term cash and capitalisation? How to invest? How to create passive income sources?

4 - what to remember

Analyze your relationship to money. Money is not related to merit or work. It’s there or not. It circulates.

Money is an energy.

How to become autonomous with regard to this energy?

• Learn and act.

• How to: Ask for advice on the topic or consume content on money and financial management.

• Create a financial tracking and plan. Short-term and long-term balance. Create a system allowing you to have passive income in order to free yourself from the constraints of our subservient system.

• Live as you wish.

Tofu Croquette

• Rinse your tofu.

• Cut it into the shape of your choice. To start simply, I advise you to make 2cm square cubes.

• Make yourself a homemade breadcrumb by taking either added spices of your choice. Test curry, ginger, coriander

• Dip your cubes in the egg. In the breadcrumbs. Again in the egg and again in the breadcrumbs.

• Keep cool for 2 hours.

• Take out your kibbles and dip them in a hot oil bath (190).

• Watch the cooking and take out each batch when the croquettes are golden.

• Prepare a small sauce on the side. The must is soy sucree sauce, peanut butter, coriander, sesame oil, salt, fresh coriander.

1 - The interest of the seminar

I have always been a strong advocate of seminars. In my view, it is the best way to focus on high-stakes topics. You can build, create, unlock, accelerate and move almost any project.

First, we refocus. Immersed in one or more specific themes, we leave aside all distractions. We collaborate, taking advantage of the collective intelligence and diversity of points of view. We learn, listen, share and most importantly, connect.

It is unfortunate that many people see seminars as the preserve of large groups or start-ups that raise money.

2 -  My past seminars

Over the past few years, I have organized several seminars. Some examples are:

• A creative seminar: dedicated to the creation of the album that is at the origin of Ready Or Not Records. I had invited artists such as MKL, Soolking, She Real, Sloppy Joe, and many others. In just 5 days, we produced 11 tracks, accompanied by a PA.

• A crisis seminar: organized with relatives to help me unlock the critical situation of the RON Festival.

• The regular G x G seminars: in collaboration with Groover, the co-founder of Hip Hop Community. These sessions allow us to take the necessary step back to develop a company as innovative and ambitious as the one we are building.

• A strategic seminar: to integrate new partners in Ready Or Not Records. At this event, we established a new business plan and set up a redesigned organization.

3 - The MNGRS.AI seminar, a gem

This seminar was designed with a clear objective: to align visions, solve strategic challenges and lay the foundations for solid medium-term growth.

Between formal exchanges and informal moments, we explored an impressive spectrum of topics: from technical subjects (RAG, LLM, technical debts) to marketing strategies, through product development. Each session was a valuable opportunity to deepen, learn and, above all, build together.

It was a rewarding and enjoyable moment.

Many thanks to the co-founders of MNGRS.AI for making this possible.

4 - What I learned: key concepts and their application

As an ambassador for innovation, I am delighted to have explored key technical themes such as:

• RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation): A technology that revolutionizes data access for artists and teams, making research more relevant and productive.

• LLM (Large Language Models): Analysis of their strengths and limitations in order to integrate these tools effectively into creative and marketing processes.

• Technical debt: A better understanding of this crucial concept and, above all, strategies to avoid that they hinder the growth of a tech company like MNGRS.AI.

These learnings go far beyond theory. They broadened my perspective on the dynamics of creative industries and the foundations of a strong technology infrastructure.

5 - What I brought: impact and transformation

My role has been versatile :

• Train leaders on key marketing and branding approaches to help them gain clarity and impact in their strategic decisions.

• Support development and product teams in a better understanding of the needs and expectations of users.

• To strengthen active listening and the spirit of synthesis, qualities indispensable in such a dynamic environment.

• Guide an artist present on site in his artistic development and the elaboration of his business strategy.

• Cooking for the whole team.

In short, it was about bringing structure while breathing new energy to achieve the next growth goals.

The key to a successful seminar is its preparation. Careful preparation. To do this, the following are essential:

• Pleasant place: Choose a place that promotes concentration and exchange.

• Precise planning: Structure activities to avoid confusion.

• Opening and closing activities: They mark the beginning and end of the seminar, creating a positive dynamic.

• Break time: Allow participants to relax and get some air.

• Quality catering: Good meals contribute to a friendly atmosphere.

• A respectful and caring environment: Create an environment conducive to involvement and serenity.

On the work side, remember:

• Suitable presentation materials: slides, visuals or other interactive tools.

• Written records to keep: They allow participants to refer to what was discussed.

Conclusion

The seminar is, in my opinion, the tool par excellence to create a powerful team dynamic while working on structuring issues for a project. These are the very issues of structuring that I believe are a key factor in success.

This experience with MNGRS.AI has been both enriching and inspiring, and we are all stronger, more motivated and aligned. It also allowed me to reconnect with what I deeply love: contributing to the development of ambitious projects, bearing values and having a positive impact on the world.

1 - More than Hip Hop

Hip Hop is more than a style—it’s a mindset, a way of living, of existing. At one point, I’d left everything behind. I got lost along the way. But today, I’ve returned to my roots.

I’m listening again to the tracks that shaped me. I’m revisiting my old habits and codes. Because in the end, that’s what being authentic is about: being yourself, no matter who’s watching. Be you, as I’ve told all my collaborators for years.

But actually, Hip Hop isn’t what defines me. It’s just the culture that forged me. In reality, the energy inside me, this sacred fire, is more than Hip Hop. It’s faith.

2 -  Before, I was…

Before, I was a dancer. I danced in front of hundreds, even thousands of people, to prove what I was worth.

Before, I was a speaker. I hosted events for crowds, sharing my energy, my passion.

Before, I was the leader of three companies, with a team I had built from scratch. I forged paths no one had dared to take before me. I did what no one had done.

I was on top. I shone. I had confidence in myself.

3 - The fall

And then, one day, everything fell apart. It all happened so fast. I lost friends, a team. I disappointed, hurt others, and lost money. The worst part was that I lost my self-esteem.

Manipulation, failure, mistakes… all of it plunged me into a deep sense of loss. It wasn’t just about the money. It was my worth as a man, my time, my confidence.

4 - La remontada

But one day, after rebuilding a new identity, a new life, a new energy, I had a breakthrough.

I could finally face others’ eyes again. No more fear of my own shadow, no more fear of the future. I became the man I wanted to be once more.

Damn, that took a long time. Today, I let go and move forward, like someone proud and strong. (Hope you get the reference.)

5 - Key takeaways

Sometimes, you have to lose everything to find yourself. It’s only by accepting that you’ve hit rock bottom that you can bounce back stronger and more aligned. This path of reconstruction is long, hard, but incredibly rewarding.

Returning to your roots means rediscovering your essence. No matter what you’ve lost or what you’ve been through, you are still you, and that authentic “you” is worth far more than any external validation.

Like the Phoenix, it’s through rebirth that you can draw new strength. So live. Live fully. If you stumble, you can rise from the ashes, even brighter and more powerful than before. I’ve done it, so why not you?

My recipe recommendation, the veggie couscous that totally rocks:

I took some generous liberties, but it's sublime.

Étapes :

• In a very large pot, gently simmer sliced onions, then quickly add your bell peppers.

• Season and add your spices (cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, etc.).

• Once it starts to simmer, add the rest of your vegetables (potatoes, a bit of eggplant, a few tomatoes, and a few more peppers).

• Let it slightly stick to the bottom, then deglaze with red wine.

• Add tomato pulp, then fill the pot with water. Let it simmer gently for 45-60 minutes. The goal is to let it reduce a bit so you end up with a rich, full-bodied broth.

• In another pot, simmer chickpeas over very low heat, adding just enough orange blossom water to cover them, for about 30-45 minutes. Add a generous amount of cinnamon and coriander, then cover. The magic will happen.

• Prepare your couscous. The secret? There isn’t one. Choose a top-quality, ultra-fine couscous and follow the preparation instructions to the letter.

• On the side, I recommend making a homemade harissa: bell pepper, tomatoes, chili, coriander, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a blender, and you’re all set.

• Finish by chopping some fresh coriander.

• Present everything in separate dishes, so you can compose your plate according to your taste, and for a bit of style as well.

1 - The Art of Hustle x Investment Strategy

The art of hustle is the art of being resourceful. It’s something I love and have always mastered, although “forever resourceful” isn’t a phrase I would use.

However, I’m reminded of an excerpt from "La Source" in 1995 (a legendary group that revealed two of the biggest talents in French rap, Alpha Wann and Nekfeu), where you hear, “True! I ruined markers, but I said I was a rapper, so I take the unifying mic and kick it with passion.”

What that means to me is that it’s enough to believe, to speak, and to act in order to become what you want to be. It’s as simple as that.

I’ve dreamed of holding a festival, producing a music album, bringing people together through Hip Hop culture, becoming the head of a business (or businesses), becoming a father, writing a book, and a few other things.

Now, we’re talking about my dream of making a film. Writing a screenplay. Inventing a story. Creating a world. What a challenge!

The difference is that this time, it’s like when I was 14. At the start of my project, I didn’t know anyone, and I didn’t know anything.

So, let’s dive into the deep end. I invested a good amount in myself; once again. Many people didn’t understand it. But despite this, I took my past experiences into account.

I was smart about it. I paid for tools, training, consulting, and more. Finally, I invested a considerable sum in my trip to Annecy. I went to one of the world’s biggest Animation Festivals, alone, with no guarantees, but determined and prepared. Thanks to hustle, MIFA, and a well-thought-out investment, I’m making progress on my project.

As a result, now I’m a serial entrepreneur, a chef, and a writer. Stay tuned for what’s next.

2 -  Your Own Prism

Miguel Ruiz is very clear about this: in order to learn, you must first unlearn.

This time, it’s even simpler. Like a newborn, untouched by any dogma or socialization revolving around material things, I knew nothing about the world of animation.

Okay, maybe not nothing. Let’s not exaggerate. I had done my research, but I needed more. To learn how to swim, you can observe, try in the shallow end, or just dive straight into the deep.

But doing so means one thing: being a newbie. Especially if you do things right, which means owning your ignorance and asking tons of questions.

It was fascinating to hear the perspectives of all the people I met. Men, women, seniors, juniors, from the US, UK, France, Ghana, Nigeria, Portugal, Australia, and Korea. They all shared their journeys, the state of the international market, and their local markets. I listened closely to their advice. So many gems. They also shared many useful details and secrets.

I’m glad I embraced being the least legitimate in my project. It allowed me to ask all the questions and learn a lot in a short time. By combining all the insights I gathered, I feel like I’ve gained three years of experience in one go.

The best part was my very first meeting. It was with one of the biggest studios in Europe. I was so proud and excited, but after 30 minutes of conversation, the big boss himself said, “I cannot take you seriously. This is how things work, especially these days, given the current context.”

That’s when I realized that despite my initial efforts, I still didn’t know enough about my subject.

Thank you. See you in a few years, bro. You’ve given me the drive to become better.

Animation is like a dream world that blends creativity and business, just the way I like it. What sets it apart from music, art, and film is the colossal financial stakes, infinite possibilities, and the magic.

Almost anything is possible. It’s that magic, which can’t be explained, that makes everything so special. The people in the industry know it. They’re passionate.

It reminds me of one of the only screenings I managed to attend, I was so busy: IMAGINARY by Ponoc Studios. What a gem! I absolutely loved it. It stands out from other Japanese productions while embodying what made Ghibli productions so successful. Let’s see what Ponoc Studios has in store for the future.

3 - Concepts impact more than words

For many reasons, I know I won’t forget my first MIFA.

Beyond the joy brought by Imaginary, I also had an amazing time in Annecy. I think my beloved Corsica has left a lasting mark on me. The mountain and water landscapes also have a powerful impact on my creativity and well-being.

With my crew, straight out of Ghana, we were turned away at a party. After 10 minutes of discussion with security, the charming gentleman was forced to admit his racism. Outraged, we left. My friends were deeply affected by it. Their innocent naivety didn’t allow them to grasp the depth of anti-Black racism or the kind of comments and attitudes people can have towards us. What a shame to experience such situations. Recently, I heard on LCP that over 90% of Black people in mainland France have experienced racism at least once in their lives.

If some people think that’s okay, I don’t. This isn’t my France, as Diam’s would say. I say it, and I live it. My work has always promoted multiculturalism and love. It will be the same for future projects.

Thankfully, the Tomme des Bauges helped soothe my pain the next day. This cheese, a specialty from the Alps, so little known by the public, is just incredible. I discovered it recently with the team from Atelier JR. It’s simple: no one could resist it. I couldn’t resist treating myself to it while being at the foot of the Alps.

Life is made up of encounters, memories, and interactions. Both the good and the bad take us further along our Personal Legend.

4 - The other Hip Hop Community

Thank you to my host. This man was so incredibly kind, to a surprising extent. I had an amazing stay. In fact, I stayed after MIFA for a solo writing retreat at the foot of the mountains in a place offering religious tranquility.

Thank you to Tigran, a producer I met during my mission with Creative Armenia, who reached out to me a few months later. My advice really helped him, judging by his enthusiasm and feedback. Fantastic.

Thanks to the big names who welcomed me. I’m more motivated than ever to join you. #ChallengeAccepted. Thank you, Kirsten, Adeola, and everyone else for your time and advice. Thank you, Jeff, for your talent and chill attitude. See you next time, big bro.

Steps :

• Peel and grate two fresh, white cassava roots. Put them in a large bowl.

• Peel and grate one white onion. Add it to the same bowl.

• Drain. Drain again.

• Add salt, pepper, and spices of your choice.

• Shape small balls with your hands.

For the sauce :

• In a saucepan, sauté some diced onions.

• Then add tomato paste, fresh chili, paprika, ginger, and sugar, and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

• Fry your cassava balls in a pan or deep fryer with hot oil. Remove them once they start to turn golden.

• Blot off the excess oil. Of course.

Reinvent, Improve, Enhance.

1 - Inspiration vs. Plagiarism

Inspiration is not plagiarism.

Everyone has drawn inspiration from someone or something. And you, for example? Where do you draw your latest inspiration from? Have you stolen an idea by doing so?

Let go. Too many people deprive themselves of realizing projects or defending ideas because someone else has already done it.

Yes, plagiarism is condemnable, but do not act like those victims of the intelligentsia, paralyzed by the fear of their own shadow and the fear of being accused of plagiarism. Originality is not about being the first or the only one.

You are free to choose the right balance. It will not harm you. Move forward with honesty, humility, and courage. Life will do the rest.

In 2021, with my teams, we created an agency specialized in the engineering of musical projects, and we developed an entire concept around our vision of music and the Prism.

One of our partners led us on for six months to ultimately create an entity that mixed our activity and this famous concept of Prime. He did not get inspired.

He made a copy-paste, without adding his vision or personal touch. In the end, the project did not perform, and I now know the true face of this person.

Since then, his activity has evolved, and he has adapted it with his own vision. I hope, and I think, that things are going better thanks to this adjustment. I would even be delighted for him.

2 -  Your Own Prism

You can use old ideas and transform them into something new, much like Lego blocks used to create different stories and worlds.

We know what a Lego house is, but we want to know your vision. We want to discover your world, hear your story.

Moreover, you can also use multiple stories to create a new one. Creativity is a complex phenomenon with many sources and factors.

What incredible story could you tell by mixing Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars? How would you blend these elements to create a unique new universe?

3 - Concepts impact more than words

No matter how you say it, your idea will have an impact. Words and writing provide a framework, clarity, and appreciated precision.

However, they have their limits. They can be interpreted, and that's already risky. If I talk to you about a red circle, how big do you see it? What kind of red? Is it filled or not?

Biases are everywhere. An image can also be interpreted. That's why I would say that a strong concept presented simply has an impact and is assimilated and understood, even if it is interpreted.

4 - The other Hip Hop Community

The concept of Hip Hop Community was simple. To create the largest and most powerful community of Hip Hop professionals in the world.

It's a beautiful niche verticalization of Malt and Fiverr, the largest freelance communities in the game to date.

Recently, I mentored Goatler through Schoolab, and the young founders were able to benefit from my advice to adjust their project and align it, in a way, with what I had created from 2020 to 2022, as well as a friend and competitor's company from the same era.

Furthermore, the fact that they confessed that I inspired them to adjust their project following my sharing of experiences and the explanation of my concepts and my own tech solutions, proves my point. S/O to the founders.

Moreover, I think there will be at least one more new version of Hip Hop Community in the coming years. It will be original and innovative, but not radically different.

It's even possible that MNGRS.AI and other visionaries were inspired by avant-garde concepts like Malt or Hip Hop Community.

At least, I hope so.

Each of these projects remains innovative, impactful, and original!

Believe in my experience. I've done it. Be inspired and inspire others.

My recipe recommendation#5:  Stuffed Peppers with Citrus

Nothing to report except that it’s SUPER delicious.

Here is the Roadmap.

Steps :

• Cook black rice in a pot of boiling salted water. Follow the cooking time precisely, making sure to wash the rice several times and stir regularly during cooking. If you're feeling motivated, as usual, add some homemade broth to the water before adding your rice.

• Cut the tops off a few peppers and hollow them out.

• Drizzle with olive oil, Herbes de Provence, and seasoning to your liking, then bake in the oven at 356°F (180°C) for 45 minutes.

• In a skillet, sauté onions, garlic, and chickpeas. Brown everything well, almost to the point of sticking.

• Remember to remove your rice and set it aside.

  Then add grapefruit and orange flesh (without the skin or membranes). Let it simmer for a few minutes.

• Finally, add some sweet soy sauce and/or yakitori sauce. The goal here is to deglaze (detach the cooked-on juices).

• Place the contents of your skillet into the hollowed-out peppers and put everything back in the oven for another good 30 minutes. Keep an eye on the cooking, because honestly, I go by feel for the timing! :)

• When the oven preparation seems tender and well-cooked, plate it with the black rice. Together, it’s sublime.

1 - The concept of Personal Legend

Every individual carries a personal legend, a unique dream that gives meaning and direction to their life.

Your personal legend is that deep aspiration, often linked to your passion and ultimate goal, or perhaps to your destiny in some way.

I got this concept from The Alchemist, a wonderful novel by Paulo Coelho. It moved me so much and marked me that the idea of a Legend and Cosmic destiny has never left me.

It resonates especially with many creatives, dreamers, and entrepreneurs, its truth is beyond doubt, except to chronic skeptics.

2 -  Writing makes you smarter and more efficient

Everything is said.

Cognitively, writing activates areas of the brain that aid in learning and memorization. To this day, it is also the best way we have to anchor a reality explicitly.

Even though images and ideas move much faster than words, the latter remain one of humanity's treasures.

Writing for oneself helps to feel better, to know oneself better, and to evolve.

Writing for work sets a framework. Every piece of writing in a company counts, especially processes, contracts, data, ideas, and all other strategies. In my opinion, this forms a powerful asset that deserves more consideration.

Selling is bad. Exploiting someone’s email is bad.

These ideas are Business Killers. We envision the old school salesman with his clunky approach who only aims for his commission, or the dishonest market seller who claims his first-price tomatoes are organic and local; not to mention the outsourced telemarketers who annoy and have a lower conversion rate than a SEA campaign by a newbie.

Selling is vital for a company. If you don’t sell, you don’t bring in cash, you can’t pay your debts, you can’t pay yourself, you don’t invest, and you don’t grow. Every day, I fight against these limiting thoughts, yet so entrenched, especially in France and/or among young creatives.

In the same sense, no, we definitely do not want to “bother” or spam people by sending emails. So yes, there is dynamite fishing or electrocution like in The Simpsons.

Yet, lead fishing is an indispensable lever in an acquisition strategy.

I’m talking about this because I too had to fight against these limiting thoughts. In the end, I created a lead magnet (a fishing line tool designed to capture qualified leads); but I am still not completely comfortable with this notion.

That's why I have already decided, as of today, to only distribute my lead magnet to people whose contact details I already have and with whom I am already in contact. Like you.

So, is it no longer a lead magnet? 🤔

Well, no. It's a gift. A gift that I am happy to distribute to those who are part of my network and those who are part of their networks.

I strongly believe in the equation: value x impact x love = Development.

Noodle soup inspired by iconic Chinese, Vietnamese, and Japanese dishes.Can you recognize them?

CHALLENGE: Find the three dishes that inspired this recipe and I commit to cooking the dish of your choice at our next meeting.

Here's the roadmap.

Steps:

• Make a broth with sauces and spices of your choice.

• Cook udon noodles in it, previously rinsed. Leave them a bit firm, then set aside at room temperature, noodles on one side and broth on the other.

• In a wok, sauté 2 onions, 2 crushed garlic cloves, and 1 cm of grated fresh ginger in sesame oil.

• Then add vegetables of your choice (I recommend broccoli, cabbage, mushrooms, and green beans) and smoked tofu. Let simmer for a few minutes.

• Add sweet soy sauce and/or yakitori sauce. If you're up for it, add a teaspoon of peanut butter and mix well.

• Add some of the broth to the wok. Boil everything for a few minutes then add the noodles.

• Meanwhile, cut some raw vegetables like carrots and cucumber.

• Pour the hot preparation onto a plate, add the raw vegetables on top.

• Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

They're unafraid to be themselves, to shine, or to be vulnerable, a trait that's atypical yet highly respectable in many societies.

If all these are made possible through emotions, it begs the question if a higher intensity of these emotions could grant them even greater power. Judging by the number of neurodivergent profiles I encounter in creative industries, tech, innovation, and entrepreneurship, their achievements and resonances are distinctly remarkable.

ADHD, high intellectual/emotional potential, hypersensitivity, those with Asperger's syndrome or autism, all exhibit a uniqueness highlighting that cognitive abilities and functioning play a significant role in how one exists in the world, the role one plays, and the impact one leaves.

Is being creative simply about letting one's brain and emotions express themselves?

In the United States, often seen as the epitome of entrepreneurship and success stories, nearly 90% of companies shut down within five years of their inception, while in France, only half cease operations at this milestone. These statistics highlight both economic and social realities. To me, they underscore that failure might indeed be the most effective springboard to success. Paradoxical? Perhaps, but undeniably true.

Entrepreneurship is a perilous journey with a known starting point, an uncertain destination, and unpredictable challenges. This unpredictability makes the journey fascinating. The question arises: why does society valorize perseverance? Why is maintaining an average, unstable, or even personally damaging business seen as a sign of talent or success? I've previously discussed resilience. Could this be the ultimate entrepreneurial skill—the ability to acknowledge mistakes and take necessary actions, even if it means stopping a project and stepping back? The concept of "withdrawal" is rarely discussed in the startup ecosystem, yet the statistics suggest it should be.

In my view, EBITDA or Cash Out are not true success indicators. The hero's quest and their response to challenges reveal much more. Each number conceals many truths not immediately apparent.

This one-sided perspective leads us to share only the positives. But why? For social status? It's nonsensical to focus solely on social standing, material, or financial possessions.

It results in a dichotomy of wealth chasing and isolation.

How many entrepreneurs suffer from burnout without realizing it? The French reluctance to withdraw at the first sign of serious trouble is notable. Maybe it's our historical role as would-be saviors that prevents us from letting go. In contrast, Americans make decisive choices and easily abandon projects to start new ones, though they're not spared difficult times; they simply bounce back and thrive faster.

These are stories worth telling. Let me share them with you.

2 -  The Billion Dollar Code

(Great mini-série!)

In the remarkable series "The Billion Dollar Code," novice entrepreneurs create a revolutionary computer code. Unfortunately, their journey with the project doesn't end as they hoped. Despite adversity, they develop an application that respects individuals. In a world where technical progress is often seen as the ultimate goal, despite introducing concerning practices that infringe on freedom, these entrepreneurial heroes manage to offer a tool that is both useful and technically advanced. Personally, I give them more credit than a company that profits by leveraging already acquired assets. It's commonplace, unfair from an equal opportunity standpoint, and one wonders if the ultimate goal of such endeavors is truly to assist others or merely to enrich oneself.

Anyway, everyone is entitled to their own value system and view of reality. I have mine as well.

3 - My Life Be Like “Ooh Ahh”

I'm proud of my journey as an entrepreneur. Yet, I haven't cashed out or generated millions in revenue. Does my worth and expertise only amount to that? There are so many aspects of my story to consider that I wouldn't know where to begin explaining.

What's certain is that over the last 18 months, I've spent a considerable amount of time revisiting my journey and analyzing every step taken. Why did I act this way? What influenced my decisions? What were the causes and consequences of my actions? Were there other options? What should I have done?

One thing is clear: I've made mistakes, some of which led to a point of no return. My cousin Groover, co-founder at Hip Hop Community, told me at the start of our venture, "What matters isn't the number of right decisions you make, but the number of wrong ones you avoid."

The worst decision I made was to tackle all my life projects at once. Starting a 360° independent label while launching a book, creating a festival, starting a music tech startup specializing in consulting and project engineering for Hip Hop, all while preparing for the arrival of a second child. Who does that, honestly? Moreover, I didn't know when to give up my first company when necessary, due to attachment to the project and all the people involved (collaborators, partners, artists, clients, board of directors, providers, etc.). Snowball effect, the adventure ended poorly.

I should have paused the project, even stopped it, and prioritized the most profitable and simplest activity.

However, the best decision ever made: I stepped back, a bit late, but still. I took the time to analyze, rebuild, and educate myself. And I'm setting off again, better and more prepared than I've ever been.

Together, we've delved into why business failure statistics don't reveal the whole truth.

Behind each number lies a story, a team, and, most importantly, a valuable learning opportunity. True successes are often shaped in the flames of failure. Let's not fear failure; instead, learn to understand and use it as a lever towards success.

This notion is increasingly discussed, but have we truly integrated it into our minds, processes, and lives?

In summary, the secret to entrepreneurial success closely aligns with the points I discussed in my first letter. It lies in discipline, resilience, and the importance of communication. Integrating these elements will better equip you to make informed decisions, including knowing when to strategically withdraw.

My recipe recommendation #2: The Queen of Leek Pies:

A recipe from my mother, enhanced by G.

In cooking, as in life, it's useful to reinvent the wheel, especially if you want to score points.

This time, it's about a simple pie, best enjoyed from September to March with real leeks (You know what I mean!). It's based on my mother's recipe, which I've modified so much that I can no longer replicate hers.

Give it a try if you have some time, 30 real minutes max, if you're really slow.

Here's the roadmap.

Steps:

• Wash, peel, and cut a bunch of leeks, two onions, and two garlic cloves. Keep the peels and clean heads to put in the water of another dish if needed, to give your dishes a healthy vegetable broth flavor.

• Sauté the onions well, add the crushed and chopped garlic, then the leeks.

• Season with salt, pepper, curry, nutmeg, and let cook gently for 5-10 minutes before blending everything and setting it aside at room temperature.

• Preheat the oven to 200°C.

• Make a shortcrust pastry with flour, salt, olive oil, and elbow grease. Check a recipe on the net that doesn't need to rest and enjoy directly. For the dough, I recommend 70% wheat flour and 30% chickpea flour. Roll it out and place it in a pie dish.

• Make a pie filling with two eggs, 40-50cl of crème fraîche, and grated cheese, and add the leeks before blending everything.

• Pour the mixture into the pie dish.

• Bake for about 30 minutes.

• And TADA! Enjoy.

ABOUT LIMITING THOUGHTS

1 - What is a limiting thought?

A limiting thought is a belief that prevents us from reaching our full potential. Telling yourself "I'm not ready for that yet" can inhibit initiative and growth. Overcoming these thoughts involves recognizing them, challenging them with facts and positive experiences, and replacing them with more constructive and motivating beliefs.

2 - How do we get out of it?

We talk about it!

As Paulo Coelho said, a warrior of light is transparent in his actions and secret in his plans. By verbalizing your limiting thoughts, you become aware of their impact and can thus confront them more effectively. To overcome them, cultivate openness and curiosity. If you consume knowledge, all will be well. You can read articles, books, listen to podcasts, webinars, conferences, like all the posts on social networks on the subjects, dig into the subject with a professional; all that, it's the same thing. Learn and integrate at your own pace. Results will come over time if you show discipline and resilience.

3 - A concrete case? I'll share mine and how I faced them.

I believed I couldn't write about business until I had turned the page 200% on my old projects, that I hadn't done something incredible.

I thought that creating content necessarily meant exposing myself again publicly/mediatically and returning to that life I no longer want. I believed that if I started doing an inbound funnel based on social media content, I would look like all those infopreneurs who are antipathetic to me.

However, by discussing with professionals and informing myself, I understood that it was these limiting beliefs that were holding me back. Through reading, journaling, meditation, and letting time do its work, I was able to progress and free myself from these barriers. I have integrated new data while erasing others.

It's a bit like the concept of the Four Agreements of the Toltecs that you can only apply if you understand that you have to deconstruct yourself first.

4 - What to remember

Realizing your projects is not just about "I must" or "if only I had this or that".

I invite you to ask yourself questions. What will I gain by trying now? What's the worst that could happen? Why do I have this opinion on this subject? Is it universal?

Visualize the steps that make up your project. Talk about it and live. Try & Iterate. Train yourself & Progress. - Do you - Execute.

There, together, we have just explored the concept of limiting thoughts; these internal beliefs that hinder our potential. By recognizing them and replacing them with positive perspectives, we open the way to personal and professional growth. The key lies in communication, open-mindedness, and continuous commitment to learning and self-improvement. By overcoming these mental barriers, we free ourselves to fully realize our projects and ambitions.

My recipe reco #1: Homemade sweet potato chips.

A classic at Home.

If you are a sausage in the kitchen, know that you have nothing to do. It's VERY simple. It's especially very good and better for your health than industrial chips. It's also eco-friendly, original, and economical. So, will you try it?

The next time you peel sweet potatoes, save the peels. You can turn them into chips, for the aperitif of the meal you are preparing or for later (keep the skins in the fridge for a maximum of 3 days).

Steps:

• Recut the skins to give them the shape and size that suits you

• Heat sunflower oil in a medium-sized saucepan and preheat your oven to 120°

• Dip your skins in the oil and stir regularly (it aerates them and it's even better ;))

• Remove them as soon as they have lightly colored; generally after 2-

• 3 minutes. Drain them well, spread them out and reserve them on paper towels (to avoid excess grease) and not in a bowl, otherwise, they will soften.

• Place them on an oven tray lined with baking paper.

• Season them to your liking. The best is salt + stylish and tasty spices like paprika, garlic, or even Oriental mixes.

• Put them in the oven at mid-height for about 3-4 minutes. This dries them out and hardens them for more crunchiness. STAY THERE! Don't go do something else. They cook very quickly (For real; how many batches I've spoiled like that.)
